Sail Haven Boat Maintenance and Repair Session 1

Saturday, January 31st, 9am-12pm.

We are starting in on repairs and maintenance to get our fleet ready for the 2026 season. We have two, new to us, Flying Scots. They need all sorts of repairs and modifications to make them Community boating ready.Task for this Saturday include:

• Remove the Outboard from the Carolina Skiff, so she can go to the shop for maintenance.
• Remove the registration numbers from the new Flying Scots "Yellow Submarine" and "Aurelian".
• Add to "Aurelian:
• • Ladder and Grab rail.
  • Stern plug.
  • Roller Furling gear for the jib.
  • Remove Mainsheet cleat and add Ratchet block.
  • Drill holes in the floor to asses core damage.
• Add to Yellow Submarine:
• • Stern Plug.
  • Traveler.
  • Fill motor mount holes
  • Sand and varnish CB trunk cap.
  • Remove mainsheet cleat and add Ratchet block.
• Remove and rebuild mast post on front of Flying Scot trailer.
• American 18 - remove mainsheet cleat, add ratchet block.
