Canal Dock and Common Ground launched a pilot program in mixed boating opportunities in the fall of 2019 to introduce students to New Haven Harbor and the Quinnipiac and Mill Rivers.
The Crew Haven Youth Rowing Program is a collaboration between Crew Haven Corporation and Canal Dock Boathouse, Inc. Crew Haven’s mission is to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive sport of rowing.
Canal Dock and LEAP (Leadership, Education & Athletics in Partnership) joined forces this fall in a pilot program to introduce young “leaders in training” to New Haven harbor.
“Metro Boating” launched in the fall of 2017. Once or twice per week after school kids from Metropolitan Business Academy paddled Canal Dock’s new dragon boat, ventured out in kayaks, and even put a few rowing shells on the water.
